Owning Your Evolution 

Growth at BitMEX isn’t a ladder; it’s a launchpad. Dean, who joined us in 2022, has moved from Customer Support to VIP Relationship Manager, a journey he attributes to a culture that rewards a bias to action.

"My role has undergone significant and complex changes following the growth of the business," Dean explains. "BitMEX’s approach to internal mobility is performance-driven and proactively supported. I found that by taking the initiative to streamline processes and constantly looking for new challenges, I showed the team I was ready for a greater scope of work. Mobility comes to those who prove themselves and live up to our cultural values."

Upskilling for the Future 

We don't just want our team to lead the industry, not just keep up with it. [Ri Yong] used his professional development allowance to master the frontier of AI, moving from basic prompting to building autonomous systems.

"I’ve recently completed the Generative AI for Automation and Productivity course at Heicoders Academy," says Ri Yong. "I developed a Customer Support Chatbot that uses an AI Agent to autonomously handle incoming email queries. The result replaced a manual, multi-step process, significantly boosting efficiency. The most significant gap in my skill set was moving beyond 'Level 1' AI usage—BitMEX gave me the resources to close that gap through tool diversification and learning how to build 'Agentic Loops'."

Support When It Matters Most 

A culture is defined by how it treats people during life's biggest milestones. For Maria, BitMEX provided a safety net that allowed her to focus on her growing family without professional anxiety.

"I was surprised to learn that the baby is included in the health policy with bills covered retroactively from the moment of birth," Maria shares. "Knowing that the coverage was seamless from day one provided an incredible amount of peace of mind. Beyond the policy, I never felt 'penalised' for taking maternity leave. My team was incredible—they covered for me and even waited for me to return before making major strategic decisions. I felt truly valued throughout the whole transition."

Having the Freedom to Find Your Flow 

High performance doesn’t have to be tethered to a single desk. Kevin utilises our hybrid and "Out of Country" remote work policies to find inspiration across the globe.

"Working remotely eliminates commute time, making it easier to hop on calls with teammates in different timezones," Kevin notes. "I recently worked remotely from Japan, the UK, and France. I found that the different environments really boosted my productivity. I’d take a stroll around Kyoto while thinking through a challenging technical problem, or wake up early to breathe in the fresh French countryside air. It really refreshed my mind before starting work."
