BitMEX Institutional Fee Structure
The BitMEX platform operates a unique trading fee structure exclusively for institutional traders. The Institutional fee will apply to all derivatives and spot products automatically based on your USD trading volume over a rolling 30 day period, measured daily at 00:00 UTC.

Derivatives Fee Discounts
Institutional traders can improve their derivatives fees on BitMEX through a combination of market share discounts and BMEX Staking discounts.
Market Share Discounts
Maker Market Share (MMS) is calculated over 30 days as your Maker volume divided by the Total Maker volume on the platform. Starting at 0.25% MMS, you earn a 0.00050% discount on your Maker Fee for each 0.25% of MMS, up to a maximum discount of 0.0050% for 2.50% MMS or more.
Total Market Share(MS) is calculated over 30 days as your total volume divided by the Total volume on the platform. Starting at 0.50% MS, you earn a 0.00050% discount on your Taker Fee for each 0.50% of MS, up to a maximum discount of 0.0050% for 5.00% MS or more.
Discount by BMEX Staking As well as the market share discounts, Institutional traders can get further discounts on Maker and Taker derivatives fees by staking BMEX. These discounts are shown in the table below:

Your Derivatives Maker fee is -0.0030%, calculated as: 0.0025% (from Insti 5)
minus 0.0040% (discount from MMS)
minus 0.0015% (discount from BMEX staking)
Your Derivatives Taker fee is 0.0165%, calculated as: 0.0225% (from Insti 5)
minus 0.0045% (discount from MS)
minus 0.0015% (discount from BMEX staking)
Your Spot fees are 0.0200% (from Insti 5)
Therefore, your final fees are -0.0030% Maker & 0.0165% Taker on derivatives products and 0.0200% Maker & Taker on spot products.
